The instructions about how to find the tour vehicle were incorrect and we spent way too much time wandering around and asking people where they thought we should go. “Unfortunately we were stuck in a traffic jam about 15 minutes from the penguin colony and instead of the one and a half hours there, we only had 45 minutes. We weren’t able to get to the beach where the majority of penguins were. Not the driver or the guide’s fault as we had to get back to the ship. The minibus was cramped, not much legroom. At least we managed to see penguins in the wild. The toilet facilities at the colony were disgusting. They had no mains water for 72 hours, so no hand washing or flushing toilets.”
